I wish to inform you that by June 2008, we will formally open the newly established 3-storey 25-classroom Dr. Filemon C. Aguilar Information Technology Training Institute, for those who may be qualified to enroll in courses like Web Development, Graphic Design and Animation, Networking Professional and Programming.
Every year about 4,000 of you graduate from our public high schools. This School year, 2,000 of you will be our scholars in the Information Technology Training Institute and 500 for bussiness administration courses we offer in our city college.
The remaining 1,000 of your fellow graduates who cannot be accomodated in the free four-year business administration courses at DFCAMC and our new IT school, will be scholars in our Manpower Training Center or TESDA.
The rest, or the more than 500 graduates may enroll in the private and state colleges and universities.
It is my commitment that you all be provided with free and quality college education to prepare you for a brighter future. This is the reason why I, together with Vice Mayor Henry Medina and the city councilors, and Congresswoman Cynthia Villar, implement the INTEGRATED EDUCATION PROGRAM. We sincerely care for you and your family that we want to make sure you are given such oppurtunity through gainful employment after your graduation.
This is also to prepare you to acquire the necessary skills if you plan to work abroad or decide to put a small scale business/backyard business in our city.
Education is my best legacy I want to pass on to you as there is nothing like education to empower you. I urge you to take your studies seriously and this rare privilege I offer you. It is not just education I want to give you, but knowledge and skills to make you the best IT propessionals globally in th future. |
